Calvin Freedman received his Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy degree in 1961 from Temple University in Philadelphia, PA. He is the owner and pharmacist in charge of SaveWay Compounding Pharmacy in Newark.
Calvin is the recipient of a number of awards including the Earl W. "Bill" Bradley Award from ACVP, the Bowl of Hygeia, and the Harry C. Zeisig Award, Honorary President Award and Innovate Pharmacy Practice Award from the Delaware Pharmacists Society.
Calvin is a registered pharmacist in Delaware, New Jersey and Pennsylvania. He was a Member of Delaware State Board of Pharmacy from September 1999 - June 2003 and served as President from 2000 until 2003.
In addition to Fellowship in ACVP and ACA, he is also a member of the American Pharmacists Association; the National Community Pharmacists Association; Delaware Pharmacists Society; Professional Compounding Centers of America; International Academy of Compounding Pharmacists; State of Delaware Medicaid Department Drug Utilization Review Board and Pharmaceutics and Therapeutics Committee; member of the Pharmacy Regulatory Council and Member of the Joint Practice Committee of the Board of Medical Practice; and a member of the Lupus Foundation of America.
He is certified by the Delaware State Board of Pharmacy to administer injectables and serves as a Preceptor in compounding for Temple University, Rutgers University and University of the Sciences in Philadelphia.
