JAY WATTS RECEIVES THE “EARL W. ‘BILL’ BRADLEY” AWARD

FROM THE AMERICAN COLLEGE OF VETERINARY PHARMACISTS

 

         Jay Watts, FACVP, FACA, of Aiken, South Carolina, received the “Earl W. ‘Bill’ Bradley” Award from the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists (ACVP) during the College’s 2011 Annual Conference held at Caesars Palace in Las Vegas, Nevada, on Saturday evening April 16.  This award was established to honor Fellows who have shown outstanding service to veterinary pharmacy.

         Jay is a 1985 graduate of University of South Carolina College of Pharmacy.  Jay is a compounding pharmacist and owner of two Family Pharmacy locations in Aiken, South Carolina.  His special interests include Diabetes Management, Natural Bio-Identical Hormone Replacement Therapy, Veterinary Compounding and compounding Iontophoresis/Phonophoresis products.

         Jay became a Fellow of the American College of Apothecaries in 1999, served as Regional Director from 2004-2009, and is currently the President-Elect for ACA.  He became a Fellow of the American College of Veterinary Pharmacists in 2001.  Jay knows that there is more to veterinary pharmacy than making quality compounds and cares for his clients with exceptional, personalized customer service.  Jay is also a member of South Carolina Pharmacy Association, NCPA, and IACP.

He is married to Sherrie Watts and has 4 children and 1 granddaughter.

         The American College of Veterinary Pharmacists was established to support the efforts of independent pharmacists to develop and strengthen services they provide to veterinarians – assisting them in meeting the needs of their practice.
